The California Motorcyclists Safety Program (CMSP) training with the support of the DMV has successfully trained over 55,0000 motorcycle riders annually.  Through their support, we continue to provide a high quality training program in order to prepare motorcycle rider for their beginning journey into the motorcycling community.  To prepare for the written evaluation, click here.

CMSP

The CMSP is California’s official motorcycle safety and training program administered by the California Highway Patrol.  CMSP offers the Basic RiderCoursesm for beginning motorcyclists and an Experienced RiderCoursesm Suite for riders who are interested in improving their skills.  CMSP expects to train 55,000 motorcyclists per year and operates over 80 training sites throughout California.

M&M Motorcycle Training is endorsed by the California Motorcyclist Safety Program (CMSP) and the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF). As of July 1, 2001, more than 200,000 motorcycle riders have been trained by the program's California Motorcycle Training network. The program began operating publicly in July 1987. Since 1986, the number of annual motorcycle fatalities has dropped over 70 percent, and motorcycle crashes have also declined more than 70 percent. The CMSP is designed to increase motorcycle safety on California's streets and highways. The program accomplishes these tasks by; (1) providing motorcycle training courses for both novice and experienced riders, and (2) increasing public awareness of motorcyclists on the road.
